Digital inclusion and loan schemes

ICT Solutions are pleased to offer the following for hire to schools, academies, federations or trusts.

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) with ExpeditionsPro

With VR and AR, teachers are no longer limited by the space of the classroom. ExpeditionsPro allows a teacher to guide students through collections of 360° scenes and 3D objects, pointing out interesting sites and artifacts along the way.

Teachers can build virtual field trips or empower students to create their own immersive tours. You can create a virtual reality tour using your own 360° or 180° photos, Cardboard Camera photos, or images from Street View directly in the browser.

What's in the kit:

  • 15 x Grab Viewers with full HD 5.5" Student devices
  • 1 x 10.1" Android Tablet
  • 15 x Anker Selfie Sticks for AR viewing
  • 1 x Transportable Storage and Charging Case
  • 1 x Ricoh Theta V 360 degree camera

What is ExpeditionsPro?

ExpeditionsPro enable teachers to bring students on virtual trips to places like museums, underwater, and outer space. Expeditions are collections of linked virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) content and supporting materials that can be used alongside existing curriculum.

These trips are collections of virtual reality panoramas — 360° panoramas and 3D images — annotated with details, points of interest, and questions that make them easy to integrate into curriculum already used in schools.

Digital Inclusion Scheme

Norfolk County Council have introduced a 'Family Loan' scheme, providing schools with a bank of devices which can be used to support children and families at risk of digital exclusion. These devices have filtering software installed so they can be used both in-school and at home, and are provided with template loan agreements which can be used with families. Additionally, the school/academy is not liable for any loss/damage to the devices under this scheme.
