What is the ICT Academy Refresh Programme?

The main objective of the ICT Academy Refresh Programme is to ensure your ICT underpins your academy’s vision, supports your academy’s plans for pupil achievement through effective planning and budgeting over a four year period. With a start date of September this ensures alignment of both the academic and financial years for academy status schools.
The key aims of Academy Refresh are to:
  • Plan for sustainable ICT to meet your academy’s objectives for teaching and learning
  • Supports the Computing Curriculum
  • Review the value of your ICT assets and maximise their usage
  • Plan the financial spend to deliver your priorities and make the most of available funds
  • Keep you up to date with emerging technologies to inform future planning 
  • Enable you to develop the solution over the period of the Refresh cycle as your requirements change and technologies emerge 
  • Provide a project managed service which delivers all the above and saves you the time in managing this.
  • Offer professional advice to support the creation of your academy’s vision and support your planning

Four year sustainable ICT planning cycle

Project Manager works with your academy to plan the available budget and programme of work to replace the academy’s ICT.

The approach of having a managed planning cycle sustains the level of ICT provision to deliver the curriculum and business needs of the academy and avoids unplanned expenditure and ICT failure.

Planning ICT in line with the academy’s vision and taking account of the total cost of ownership.
