Google Sites and Groups
Google Sites enables you to build internal project hubs, team sites, public-facing websites, and more—all without designer, programmer, or IT help.
With the new Google Sites, building websites is easy. Just drag content where you need it. Create a one-stop destination for all important information, including videos, images, calendars, presentations, documents, folders, and text. Then, quickly and securely share it with an entire organization or the world. All you need is a NSIX account.
Sites files are stored in Google Drive so you can easily edit and collaborate on your site. You can also see how your site will look on any device. Published sites automatically resize so users get the best experience.
Change text styles for the entire site - Text and header styles make your web pages look more professional and help emphasize important information.
Create a team site - Build a team site where everyone in your organization can find your team’s contact information, project updates, roadmaps, collateral, and other resources.
When you build your website in Google Sites, you can integrate it with other G Suite services to make it more powerful.
Create a project site - your projects involve multiple people across teams, build a project site to keep all of your project information, updates, timelines, presentations, and other resources in one place.
Enhance your site with photos and videos - Make your Google site more compelling and interactive by adding photos and YouTube videos.
Add forms and surveys to your site - If you want to gather any kind of information from your site visitors, just add a form to your Google Sites page.
Add a table of contents to your site - To give your webpages some structure, add a table of contents. Anyone viewing your site can see the topics your page covers, and jump directly to whatever interests them.
Adding a table of content is particularly helpful for lengthy webpages, like FAQs, policies, and rules of conduct.
Customize how content appears on your site - Make your site more user-friendly by changing how the content appears on Google Sites.
As you add new people to your groups, they'll automatically gain access to content you previously shared with that group. Similarly, if you remove someone from a group, that person no longer has access to any content you shared with the group.
Add collaborative content to your site - Let everyone on your team keep track of ongoing projects and tasks by sharing Google Drive folders on Google Sites. Any changes to the folders are automatically updated on your site.
You can use online and email-based groups with Google Groups to:
• Host discussions and make plans with a class or team/club, or social group
• Meet class mates with similar hobbies, or interests.
• Learn about a topic and join discussions on that topic.
• Create a Q&A forum for any topic.
• Organize meetings, conferences, and social events in your School or Academy
